We sure had a fine time touring down to Seward despite the rain. The
weather let up from time to time and we were able to visit the Exit
Glacier just outside of Seward and see the sights. If you like any of
the pictures and would like a better copy, let me know and I will email
you a high resolution version for use as a screensaver (or anything you
like!).
The park has markers showing the end of the glacier as far back as 1927. I remember because that was the year Babe Ruth hit 60 home runs ... never mind. The ice has moved back considerably in the five years its been since Jane and I last hiked back there. |
