Seward is 125 miles from Anchorage and is a 2 1/2 hour drive through a very scenic portion of our state. Round trip train is available from mid-May through mid September at a cost of $86. The train departs Anchorage at 6:30 am and arrives in Seward at 11:00 am. On the return trip to Anchorage the train departs Seward at 6:00 pm and returns to Anchorage at 10:25 pm. Round trip bus is available for $60 during the same time frame leaving Anchorage at 7:30 am and arriving in Seward at 10:30 am. The day bus departs at 6:00 pm and arrives in Anchorage at 9:00 pm. Rental cars are also available through Custom Tours Alaska. The 580,000 acre Kenai Fjords National Park was established in 1980. Huge tidewater glaciers flow from the Harding Icefield and calve off into ocean. The park is home to a variety of marine life and sea birds. Visit to Chiswell Islands to look for Steller sea lions, orcas, humpback whales, puffins, and a variety of sea birds. |

PRINCE
WILLIAM SOUND---

The Prince William Sound area can be reached via the Alaska Railroad's 40 minute rail shuttle through the Chugach Mountains. The Portage Train Station is a 45 minute drive from Anchorage and the 10:20 am rail shuttle will accommodate the major glacier day trips that are 6 hours in length. The cost of the rail shuttle is $20 for adults and $10 for children under 12. These 6-6 1/2 hour tours return to the Portage Train Station at 6:50 pm. It is a 45 minute drive back to Anchorage. Round trip transportation to the Portage Train Station is available through Custom Tours Alaska at $50.00 for adults and $25 for children under 12. We will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00 am. 26 Glacier Cruise operates from May 6 until
September 16th daily. This 6 hour cruise travels 110 miles through Prince William Sound to
Barry Arm, College and Harriman Fjord, and many more unnamed glaciers. A complimentary
lunch is served aboard the high speed 104 foot Klondike Express.

There is passenger train
service aboard the Alaska Railroad from Anchorage to Whittier. **Prices are
$52 for adults and $26 for children.**

Prince William Sound Overnight---
Day 1 - Anchorage-Valdez. Travel from Anchorage to Valdez through the picturesque Matanuska Valley, past worthington Glacier, Keystone Canyon and the scenic Richardson Highway. Arrive in Valdez, the terminus of the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. Overnight in the town of Valdez, frequently called the "Switzerland of Alaska" because of its snow capped peaks and green meadows.
Day 2 - Valdez-Whittier-Anchorage. Cruise Prince William Sound from Valdez to Whittier aboard a comfortable sightseeing vessel that will take you through Columbia and Blackstone Bays. Blackstone Bay is known for its numerous hanging glaciers and spectacular waterfalls. Lunch is included. Travel from Whittier to Anchorage by motorcoach through the Chugach Mountains and Turnagain Arm. Your tour ends in Anchorage. **Prices are $336 for adults and $168 for children under 12.**
